Full form of PCOS is Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Irregular or no periods , difficulty in conceiving , excessive and unwanted hair growth , weight gain , hair loss , acne and pimples are few common symptoms of pcos.

PCOS is an abnormality which affects a woman’s hormones levels. A woman’s body produces a higher than normal amount of male hormones when suffering from PCOS, leading to certain abnormalities in a female’s body.

Metformin and clomiphene are two drugs effective in treating PCOS. Surgery like ovarian drilling can be used in case medications do not work.

Natural and unprocessed diet , fatty fish like salmon,tuna and sardine , spinach and dark,leafy vegetables , broccoli , cauliflower , lentils , legumes , dry fruits such as almonds and walnuts and dark chocolate in moderate quantity are effective diets during PCOS.

Doctors are not sure about the extract cause of PCOS. But few causes of PCOS can be genes , insulin resistance and inflammation.

Though PCOS cannot be cured alone by just exercising , yet exercising regularly can help in controlling PCOS to a great extent. Brisk walking , cycling , jogging and swimming are some useful exercises.

PCOS is not curable. But it’s symptoms can be managed in a number of ways. For example, exercising regularly or consuming certain medicines can be effective in controlling the symptoms of PCOS.

Women suffering from PCOS face a lot of complications during pregnancy. They even face difficulty in conceiving. Miscarriages are common during pregnancy of a woman with PCOS.
